Ghanaian footballer Osman Bukari has reflected on his journey from playing football on the streets of Kwahu Mamfe to signing for a US-based club, Austin FC, in Major League Soccer.

The Black Stars player, who began his professional football journey with Accra Lions, was full of joy after signing a three-and-a-half-year deal with his new club.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) after his unveiling by the club, the player expressed his excitement and also reminisced about his boyhood days playing football on the streets in Ghana.

"Can't wait to play in front of these amazing fans and in this beautiful city. From the streets of Kwahu Mamfe, Ghana, to Austin, Texas. Alhamdulillah for everything," he wrote on his X page.

While with Accra Lions, Bukari went on loan to Anderlecht but later returned after his spell. He then sealed his first move to AS Trencin in Slovakia, where he scored 12 goals in 51 matches.

He was later transferred to Belgian side Gent, who sent him on loan to FC Nantes, where he had a successful spell, winning his first international trophy.

He won the Coupe de France in the 2021/22 season after making 24 appearances and scoring 2 goals.

Bukari sealed a move to the Serbian league, signing for Red Star Belgrade. The winger won the SuperLiga and Serbian Cup twice before bidding farewell to the club.

On the international front, the 25-year-old is famous for his goal against Portugal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
