Fulham have joined a long list of clubs interested in signing Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan.

According to Sky Sports, the 30-year-old has emerged as a target for the Cottagers.

Gyan has seen his chances at Chinese side Shanghai SIPG limited due to the arrival of Brazilian Hulk and believed to be angling for a move away.

Media reports had claimed he has started negotiation with Hull City with earlier reports suggesting he could undergo medical at Turkish giants Besiktas this week.

But fresh reports are emerging the English Championship side could galumph the deal as they attempt to sign the celebrated Ghana international.

It's understood Gyan would welcome the chance to work under Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic, who is believed to be a huge admirer of the Ghanaian super star.

The Ghana captain spent a season at Sunderland in 2010-11, where he scored 10 Premier League goals.

Ghana's all-time leading goal scorer, Gyan has played at three World Cups and helped his country to reach the quarter finals in 2010.

The striker is currently one of the highest paid players in the world, earning a reported £227,000-a-week in the Chinese capital
