Asante Kotoko have embarked on a squad overhaul following an embarrassing performance in the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League season.
Kotoko had one of their worst seasons in recent years losing six consecutive matches at some point, matching their worst record in 14 years.
The Porcupine Warriors finished 6th with 49 points, winning 14, losing 13 and drawing 7 matches.
To that effect, players who came up short, out of contract with no intention to extend, and a few others have all exited the club.
The club released 18 players right after the season ended before the departure of Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala took the number to 19.
Mukwala declined a contract extension offer from Kotoko as he nears a move to Tanzanian side Simba FC.
