Fund Raising Towards 21stworld Walking Cup

The Visco walking Club in its quest to raise funds to support Ghanas contingent to this years World Walking Cup in Naumberg Germany, has started selling T shirts.The T shirts would be launched in all the regions.The said T shirts bares the National colours of Ghana boldly displayed in-front of it .Below it is the inscription 21st World Walking Cup,Naumberg Germany 1st & 2nd May 2004.On top of the right corner of the Ghana colours is written Visco Walking Club-Ghana.The back of the shirt has an acknowledgment list of individuals and co-operate bodies who have contributed in divers ways to the development of walking in Ghana.The next batch of the T shirts yet to be printed will bare the logos of the current sponsors.

In an interview with Mr Khofi Tuah an executive member of the club,he indicated that the mentioned individual and co-operate bodies started helping in the development of walking as far back as1995.The official launching of the nationwide exercise is scheduled to take place in the Central regional capital,Cape Coast as its first stop on 21st February2004. The second place of launching is expected to be in the Western regional capital of Takoradi.The T shirts are currently available at the following places;Biriwa Beach Hotel, Uncle Edward ENT.Cyntia Unisex Wear and Savoy Hotel all in Cape Coast at a cost of ?30,000. It is the wish of the club that all well wishers and sympathizers will patronise the purchase of the T shirts to make the objective of the club a reality.
