Former Asante Kotoko defender Joseph Hendricks has prodded rival Dan Coleman, claiming the ex-Hearts of Oak defender was not at his level.
Hendricks and Coleman share some attributes on the pitch with both players proving rugged and very physical central defenders in their playing days.
There have been comparisons between the two by fans of the two clubs and Hendricks who had a successful spell at Kotoko believes Coleman is below him on the ladder.
In an interview with Accra-based Onua FM, Hendricks was posed the question of whether Dan Coleman can be considered at his level.
He replied “Daniel Coleman doesn’t have any certificate to counsel Ghana defenders but I have that certificate which makes me the best,”.
“I played the ABC Premier League and I tackled serious players like Joe Fameye, Osman Amadu etc.”
The highlight of the Hendricks-Coleman rivalry was in 2004 when Kotoko and Hearts met in the CAF Confederation Cup Final.
Hearts won the trophy by beating Kotoko via penalty shootout.
