GARA to organize one day gala on Sunday

Accra, Dec. 2, GNA - The Greater Accra Rugby Association (GARA) will on Sunday, December 5, organize a special gala competition, at the El-wak Stadium, as part of preparations towards the Confederation of Africa Rugby (CAR) Congress in Ghana early next year.

The gala will also be used to sensitized and create public awareness for the sport. In all, seven clubs will compete for honours in the one day event, which will see Oguaman Ocean Warriors, Abura Bomber Rugby Academy from Cape Coast, Florent Academy, Accra Sharks Rugby Club, University of Ghana Rugby team, Dansoman Hurricanes and Accra Waarions testing their strength. According to the organizers, the ultimate winner will take home a trophy and an attractive cash prize.

Frank Boahene, Chairman of the GARA, is confident of staging a successful event, to set the tone for the continental meeting in Ghana next year. 01 Dec. 10
