“Judgement Night”

Gifty Naa Darkua Dodoo, Public

Relations Officer of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has warned trouble makers

to stay away from the big fight coming up at the Accra Sports Stadium on May 16,

2014 between Braimah Kamoko and Ayitey Powers.

Speaking to yours truly in an

exclusive interview on security and publicity for the fight dubbed “Judgement

Night” she praised the media for the publicity and urged them to do more as the

date gets closer.

She said the Ghanaian Sports Press

had done very well to popularize the fight and expressed the gratitude of the

GBA, because the fight has sold Ghana Boxing and many doors would be open to

Ghanaian boxers and promoters if the two boxers put up a classic show.

According to Naa Darkua, the

promoters, Box Office have done enough to put up very tight security

arrangements for the guests and patrons who will watch from the ring side and

popular stand.

She commended Alex Ntiamoah for his

boldness and courage to fix the bout despite all the odds and assured him of

the fullest support from the GBA.

She urged members of the Media /

Publicity Commmittee of the GBA to contribute to the success of the fight and

all other events concerning boxing in Ghana.

The energetic sports presenter and

producer at Rainbow Radio said the sporting public has a great role to play to

make the big fight interesting and a sell out if they comport themselves very

maturely on the day of the fight.

“The Promoters are working on tight

security and we will not tolerate any negative attitudes for this fight. We are

selling the fight to over 50 nations in Africa by SuperSport and TV3 to

Ghanaians, so we want a neat image. This fight should be the lead to better

boxing promotions in Ghana” she added.

Meanwhile, the promoters are working

very hard to offer boxing fans mouth watering supporting bout.

Sensational Obodai Sai of James Town

has been named to fight a Nigerian opponent for the WBO African Welterweight

title.

The rates remain 100ghc for VIP (RingSide),

50ghc for Second Ringside and 10ghc for Popular Stand.

An exclusive entertainment spot

featuring top musicians makes the package attractive.
