GBA discloses support to boxers during title bouts

Secretary for Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) Mr. Patrick Johnson has in an interview communicated how supportive the Ghana boxing governing body has been so far to the country's indigenous boxers on title and higher ranked bouts.

Mr. Patrick speaking exclusively to Ghanaweb.com in an interview concerning the push from the GBA to boxers during title and higher ranked bouts highlighted "much atimes when there are to be world title shots or a higher - ranked bouts, the GBA executives goes to visit boxers at their respective boxing gyms to bid them farewell, encourage them through words and also donate to them a token of presents to boost their moral going into the bout, which for me thinks is a plus to they the boxers seeing the executives of the GBA leaving their respective offices to support them through words, presents and mostly some money's in addition."

"To tell the truth, there are some world title bouts coming off early this year having the name of some prospective Ghanaian boxers which includes Isaac Dogboe, Rafael Mensah, Habib Ahmed and Emmanuel Tagoe"

"Which a stakeholders meeting was held to meet the sports ministry and went on to the presidency to meet the president where they asked for a bid prepared for bouts which we did and are hopeful that by doing so, they will fulfill their own part to help support the guys because they've done it before and it takes the grace of God in doing so," Mr. Johnson voiced out.

Mr. Patrick Johnson with his incredible work performing in the chambers of the GBA as secretary equally double as a class one (1) top official to the Ghana armwrestling division as well.
