GBA holds seminar

THE Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) will today bring together stakeholders in the pugilistic sports for a one-day seminar at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The seminar, which will be opened by the Minister of Youth and Sports Mr Edward Osei Kwaku, has been designed for boxing promoters and managers licensed under the GBA.

Among the notable speakers at the event, are former Secretary of Youth and Sports during the PNDC regime, Mr Amarkai Amarteifio, a boxing expert, who will lecture on the legal framework for successful management of world champions, Ace promoter and a member of the GBA Mr Samir Captain, will give an address on the GBA rules on the obligations and responsibilities of promoters and managers.

Mr John Kermah of the Ringcraft Promotion and Management Syndicate, whose stable produced world champions such as the legendary Azumah Nelson, Nana Yaw Konadu and Ike Quartey, will share his personal experiences on how to be a successful international promoter and manager.
