GBA invites coaches for two week course

Accra, Aug 28, GNA -- The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has extended an invitation to 17 coaches to attend a two week review coaching course to update their knowledge with the modern trends of the sport. The coaches selected for the course have already graduated from the preliminary coaching course organised by the GBA last year. Mr Peter Essandoh, Technical Director of the GBA in a statement copied to the GNA Sports said coaches who will excel in the review programme will proceed to the advanced level.

The selected coaches for the programme are Vincent Akai Nettey, Joseph Awudu Nelson, Lartey Quaye, Aminu Tampuri, Shaibu Ali Ocquaye, Lawrence Carl Lokko, Peter Arko Patterson, Emmanuel Nii Amponsah, Solomon Otto Lartey and David Morton.

The others are Napoleon Ayah Tagoe, Emmanuel Laryea, Ebenezer Yartey and Issifu Fatai.

From the regions are Thunder Ayeh 96 Eastern, Roland Ato Daniel 96 Central and James Nutakor from the Western Region.

According to Mr Essando all invited coaches are to converge at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports on Wednesday, August 30 at 8:00.

The two week programme will be held at the Sagacious Gym, near De Hawk, Mamprobi.
