Accra, Aug 18, GNA -- The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) will on Wednesday, August 23, hold its annual seminar for ring officials as part of preparations towards the new Mortein Boxing League and other boxing events.
The seminar, which is to update the knowledge of the ring officials on the latest trend in the sport, will be held at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports. A statement signed by Mr Justus Agbeko, Secretary Genera of the GBA copied to the GNA Sports said the practical aspects of the seminar will be conducted at the Dee Boxing Gym.
It therefore urged all ring officials to endeavour to attend the programme.
In a related development, the GBA has extended invitation to interested individuals who wish to become boxing judges and referees to send their applications to its Secretariat for consideration. The statement said applications are to reach the Secretariat by the close of work on September 15.
