The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Real Tamale United (RTU) with misconduct over allegations related to their Premier League match against Dreams FC.

RTU honored the Week 28 outstanding league match on Wednesday afternoon by traveling to the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu to face Dreams FC. Despite the visitors scoring first, Dreams FC rallied to secure a resounding 8-1 victory.

Following the match, allegations surfaced that RTU fielded unqualified players as registered players for the fixture.

This evening, the Ghana FA Disciplinary Committee has charged Dreams FC with misconduct for deceiving match officials and playing the unqualified players.

"Real Tamale United has been charged with violating Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, after their Ghana Premier League game against Dreams FC. It is alleged that the club intentionally misled the match officials by using unregistered players to impersonate officially registered players of their club, an act of misconduct that tarnishes the reputation of the game," the GFA Disciplinary Committee notice stated.

The notice further indicates that RTU has until Friday, June 14, 2024, to respond to the charges.
