Veteran football administrator, Takyi Arhin ‘Thunder’, says GFA Presidential hopeful Osei Palmer ‘doesn’t need Nyantakyi to win’ the forthcoming GFA elections.
The former Techiman City CEO has also denied claims that the entourage that went to the palace of Aduana Stars bankroller Nana Agyemang-Badu II was there to campaign.
Thunder was spotted in a viral video with former GFA and CAF first vice president, Kwesi Nyantakyi who was chased out of the palace of Agyemang-Badu II.
It was alleged that Nyantakyi and his team went to Dormaa to convince the owner of Aduana Stars on behalf of candidate Osei Palmer.
Speaking to Accra based Asempa FM, Takyi Arhin said “Every level headed Ghanaian will understand. If it was a campaign we wouldn’t have taken Shcnappps with us to the palace. Traditionally when a king does something for you; you go to his palace to thank him. It wasn’t for campaign.”
He revealed that the king even gave them fabric for visiting.
“For the 3 hours we spent with him, there was no mention of the campaign. But rather the history of Aduana and the project he’s doing in the palace. He even gave us Holland fabric”.
