Former Chief Executive of BA Stars, Mr Takyi Arhin, has alleged that the Ghana Football Association President, Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi, is secretly pleading with government and officials of the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) which recently raided the GFA premises, to tone down its investigation in order not to expose the mess at the FA.

The controversial Arhin Takyi made the allegation during the review of the 2010 major sporting events on award winning Space Super Sports programme on Space FM in Sunyani.

The vociferous Takyi Arhin stated that "of course one of the most important issues I cannot do without is the raiding of the GFA premises by the Economic and Organized Crime office".

He then dropped the bomb that "the GFA President Mr.Kwasi Nyametakyi, is secretly pleading with some government officials such as Mr. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye and Mr P.V. Obeng, to come to his aid so that the financial embezzlement at the football governing body in the country will not come to the public domain."

Upon further interrogation by the host of the programme, Alhaji Yahaya, Mr.Arhin insisted that "he is privy to such information and ever ready to meet the FA president to substantiate his allegation".

During the continuation of the sports review programme the next day, Mr. Arhin was asked if he had any change of mind on the allegation he made against the FA boss, and again he stuck to his allegation.

Not even the explanations by a co-panelist, Mr. Kingsley Osei Bonsu, an Executive Committee member of the FA, could compel Mr. Arhin to retract his wild allegation against the FA boss. When the GFA President was called for his reaction to the allegation against him, he simply said "what Mr. Arhin had said held no water and that his accuser did not know what he was saying".

Mr. Nyantakyi then asked his accuser if he was ready to substantiate the allegation in court, to which Mr arhin answered in the affirmative.
