Ghana FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara has confirmed that all members of the technical team of the Black Stars with the exception of Avram Grant work on a part-time basis.
This is after concerns were raised over why members of the technical team of the Black Stars are engaged with clubs.
Black Stars Team Manager Sabahn Quaye and Goalkeeper’s trainer Nassam Yakubu also work in similar capacities with Hearts of Oak while Yaw Preko – the assistant coach of the Phobians – is also engaged as the assistant coach of the Ghana U20 team.
This raises conflict issues with most of these professionals abandoning their work with their clubs for their more lucrative part-time roles with the national teams whenever there are international assignments.
But GFA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara says his outfit is unable to engage these professionals on a full-time basis because they are unable to pay them.
“These people all work on a part-time basis.” He said in an interview.
“We are unable to pay them on a monthly basis so the come and perform their duties as and when there are assignments.”
