The Ghana Football Association [GFA] has charged Aduana Stars to replicate their success in the first round when they take on ES Setif in their second CAF Champions League game to be played at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Wednesday, March 7.
The 2016/17 Ghana Premier League champion defeated Libyan side El Tahady 2-1 aggregate to make it to the next round of the continental competition.
In a letter signed and addressed to the president of the club by the General Secretary, Mr Isaac Addo, the GFA congratulated Aduana Stars for scaling the first hurdle and encouraged them to replicate the performance against ES Setif.
"On behalf of the President and the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association, please accept our sincerest congratulations on your success in the preliminary matches which has guaranteed your Club's qualification to the next stage of the CAF Total Champions League".
"We have no doubt in our minds that this success will be repeated come Wednesday, March 7, 2018 (home encounter) and that of your away game in Algeria".
"As the sole representative of Ghana, the whole nation will be solidly behind you. We appreciate your hard work and commitment to showcase our brand of football to Africa and the rest of the world".
“Go Aduana Stars, Go Ogya boys.”
The nation's football governing body has supported the team with $30,000 ahead of the much-anticipated match.
