GFA declares 17th week matches outstanding

Accra, Aug 22, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) in consultation with the Professional League Board (PLD) has declared the 17th week matches of the Kinapharma Premier league scheduled for Wednesday, August 27 outstanding.

A statement signed by Mr Kwawku Ampem-Darko, Deputy General Secretary Technical of the GFA, said the postponement was to pave the way for the continued training of the Black Stars and Black Meteors teams that are preparing for World Cup elimination matches and the All African Games tournament scheduled for Nigeria, respectively. Meanwhile the statement said the 18th week matches programmed for Sunday 31st August would go on as scheduled.

The statement said the PLD would later come out with details of the fixtures in the course of the week.
