Accra, July 27, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) in conjunction with the Referees Association of Ghana (RAG), has selected 27 referees and assistants to undertake the 2006 FIFA physical fitness test.
A statement signed for the General Secretary by Emmanuel Gyimah, Assistant General Secretary, said the test is scheduled for Friday August 26 at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra. Consequently, the referees are requested to undergo medical examinations at the Stadium Clinic to determine whether they are physically fit to undertake the test.
The statement further urged the Medical Officer of the Stadium Clinic to submit reports of the medical examination to the GFA Secretariat before the test.
Among the referees selected are Justus Agbeko, Alex Kotey, Christian Atsatsa, William Agbovi, Joseph Lamptey, Joseph McChathy, Charles Dowona and Cecil Fletcher.
Others are Stephen Oduro, Siedu Bormisson Jnr, Vivienne Aggor, Benedicta Wormade and Mercy Tagoe-Quaracoo.
For the FIFA Assistant Referees, the list has Justice Yeboah, Nicholas Djomoah, Annan Lomotey, Samuel Quaye, Haruna Ayuba, Boadu-Ayeboafo Ahmed, George Seija and M D Arthur.
The rest are A S Malik, David Laryea, Innocentia Agbavitor, Abigal Sowah, Faustina Zorklui and Mary Seidu.
