GFA to Appoint New Coach By November

The GFA has indicated that by November it will appoint a new coach for the Black Stars.

In a statement, the GFA said very soon adverts would be placed in the local media, on the websites of the Association, CAF and FIFA for the vacant position of the coach of the Black Stars; after which the FA would make a short list of the qualified applicants of at most six, who will be interviewed for the job.

The appointment of Ghanaian-born Marcel Desailly appears to have fallen on the rocks, as ex-French international has signed a deal with a club in the Gulf region of Qatar.

The job as a coach of the Black Stars in Ghana is considered the third most difficult after the Presidency and the GFA Chair, as office holders are always subject to criticisms some of which are needless.

The race for the job is likely to draw a lot of both local and foreign coaches but it clearly appears a foreign coach will carry the day as Ghanaians have strong taste for foreign "products" even when it is beyond our purchasing power.

ln the latest development, Ghalca Chairman Mr Jy Appiah, in an interview on HelloFM, this morning in Kumasi, said he want GFA boss Dr Nyaho Tamakloe to resign else he will be forced to do so by the authority and he used the word -"will be aprooted like casava".

Dr Nyaho Tamakloe who have gone beyond the rules and regulation of the FA by sending them to court and FIFA over his recent conflict of the executive council has been acused by the Ghalca boss for his embezzlement of the FA fundas.

Meanwhile the executive council of the FA will embark on extra-ordinary congress soon.
