Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Saanie Daara, has assured Ghanaians, football will strive very soon in the country.
The former writer for the BBC is enthused about the prospects of Ghana football getting better in the coming weeks.
Speaking to Kwame Dwomoh Agyemang of Class 91.3FM after a ceremony to honour the president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Ahmad Ahmad with a doctorate degree on Wednesday, 25 April, the spokesperson for the GFA assured Ghanaians that hopefully by next week, the deal for Zylofon to sponsor the league will be announced.
“Hoping that latest by next week Ghanaians and clubs in Ghana will smile”, he revealed.
He, however, said he cannot disclose the details of the contract with Zylofon. Additionally, Mr. Saani confirmed the deal is big and will certainly put a smile on the faces of stakeholders of the game.
“It [Zylofon deal] will satisfy all football loving people who have been unhappy”.
He added that the FA is looking to increase the revenue base of clubs to ensure that players are paid.
