GFA to go scientific in finding answers to mounting challenges bedeviling Ghana Football

The Ghana Football Association is set to take a scientific approach towards overcoming the growing challenges Ghana Football has been facing in the last 3 years, President Kurt Okraku has revealed.

Since 2017, the GFA has been fraught with various challenges that have stifled the growth and development of the game.

After airing the Anas Exposé, there was a period of chaos as the FIFA-Government selected Normalisation committee struggled to steer Ghana Football back on track.

This led to the cancellation of the existing league season and a failure to organize a new one, meaning there had not been a completion of a league season in the last two years.

After the new leadership took charge, they initiated steps and started the 2019 season which had much promise but unfortunately had to be suspended due to the CoronaVirus pandemic.

With Ghana Football faced with the prospect of failing to complete a season in the last three years, the GFA boss has suggested the time is right for a whole new look at situations.

Kurt Okraku in an interview with Happy FM said “Since 2017, we haven’t played a league and declared a winner, which is a big problem because no sponsor wants to be associated with a product which is consistently inconsistent.

“I think our football has gotten to a point where we need to allow science to play a role. It is something that my administration will look into,” he concluded.
