GFA warns clubs

Accra, Aug 16, GNA-The Ghana Football Association (GFA0 has warned clubs to desist from resorting to all sorts of tricks and practices aimed at winning matches.

In a statement signed by Mr. Kofi Nsiah General Secretary of GFA, the association said it has learnt that as part of rituals by some clubs to win matches they resort to firing of musketry and dynamites at their stadiums just before kick off during league matches.

The statement noted that the act is gradually creeping dangerously and shamefully into the game of football in the country and urged clubs to refrain from it.

According to the statement, such behaviours from clubs shall be met with severe sanctions henceforth adding that match officials are required to report such incidents to the Professional League Board (PLB) for the appropriate actions to be taken.
