Tennis Foundation Ghana (TFG) in collaboration with the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) is set out to organize the maiden Tennis Homecoming and Wall of fame and Awards on the 9th and 10th August, 2019.
Having recognized that there is an abundant tennis history to celebrate legends of the game and to impress the most avid tennis fans and to inspire the next generation of players, hence to organize the maiden Ghana Tennis awards.
The event will honor past players, coaches, chairpersons, presidents, secretary’s, General Secretary’s and Officials who paid their dues from pre-independence till 1992.
In an interview with www.tenolfsports.com, Mr. Roger Crawford (Tennis Foundation Ghana) emphasized that “Time to set aside all our differences and push Ghana forward as the bright and shining star that we were destined to be. By so doing others would be encouraged to “die” for the country knowing that one day they would be immortalized in the annals of Ghanaian history.”
He further stated that, we as a people recognize that we have to reconcile with our past to be able to forge ahead a worthy future for generations after us. We need all those who have sacrificed for us in the past. Time to heal! Time to kiss and hug.
