GHALCA chairman Alhaji Ali Raji says the G6 tournament paved way for the high standards of this season’s Ghana Premier League.
The parent body for league clubs in the country organized the inaugural edition of the six-team tournament in January and it met expectations.
For GHALCA, all clubs in the Ghana top-flight have replicated the high level of competition exhibited during the four-day tournament in Sekondi.
Raji says his association deserves credit for that.
“The domestic league is kicking now, thanks to the G6. The pedestal in which GHALCA took the league immediately after the G6 Tournament has made the ongoing league what it is in terms of standards, broadcasting, branding, commitment and marketing of matches ahead of league games," Raji told Starr Sports.
