GHALCA firm on Kotoko ban

Members of the Ghana League Clubs Association insist the ban on Kumasi Asante Kotoko will stand after an emergency meeting on Friday.

Kotoko have been handed a one year ban from all GHALCA competitions and a fine of GHC 10,000 after they snubbed the medal presentation ceremony in protest at refereeing decisions at this year's President's Cup.

Kotoko have reacted furiously to what they call a 'rash' ban and say they will withdraw their financial contributions to the body unless the punishment is reviewed.

Kotoko admit they were wrong but the punishment and fine was carried out in the wrong way.
