GHALCA wishes Ashgold and Kotoko well

Accra, April 3, GNA - The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has encouraged Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Obuasi Ashantigold Sporting Club to be guided by the true Ghanaian fighting spirit ahead of their respective continental Inter Clubs assignment on Sunday.

Ashantigold would attempt to overturn a first leg 3-0 defeat against JS Kabylie of Algeria in a Champions League eliminator at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi on Sunday. Kotoko play Nigeria's Wikki Tourist in the Confederations Cup at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi after the two sides settled for 2-2 drawn game in the first leg in Nigeria.

Sports therefore urged the two Ghanaian clubs to exhibit fighting spirit until they hit the target of

envy on Sunday. He urged the two teams to keep in mind the need to fight and protect the image and pride of

Ghana football. Both teams are Ghana's sole survivors in the two competitions.
