WAFA have opened a three-point lead and have one game in hand
Leaders WAFA became the first club to accumulate more than 40 points this season to confirm their status for next season.
The Academy Boys beat ten-man Bechem United 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon at home in the week 22 fixture to tally 43 points.
Togo import Komlan Agbeniandan converted a 20th minute penalty and young striker Richard Danso added the second in the 52nd minute.
Three minutes before that assurance goal, Bechem United centre-back Daniel Egyin was sent off for a second bookable offence after a tackle on Majeed Ashimeru.
