Aduana Stars' Abdul Wahab was the toast of the fans at the Baba Yara Stadium with a stupendous performance against the Porcupine Warriors to emerge the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the game while Bismark Idan's spectacular strike at Techiman City earned him a place in the mid-week Best XI.

Right back Godfred Saka made it back into the team after a long absence while Nicholas Gyan and Tawphique Mohammed retained their places in the team.

In a 4:4:2 system for the week, Coach Anthony Commey emerged the coach of the week for masterminding the win at Techiman.

1. Fatau Dauda - GK (AshGold): Dauda's recent show for the Aboakese lads is a demonstration of good form which has guided them to pick some vital points in the second round. He guided his side to a 2-0 win over Liberty Professionals in Obuasi. He pulled three brilliant saves and controlled his back four excellently.

2. Godfred Saka (Aduana Stars): Saka had been missing in action from the week's best selection but made a comeback after his magnificent show against Kotoko. His runs were brilliant and so were his crossing.

3. Ibrahim Alhassan (Inter Allies): Arguably one of the best left backs in the Ghana Premier League. Ibrahim was the brightest spot in the Inter Allies setup. He was the nucleus of change in the Allies side. He was intelligent with the ball, gave accurate passes, with excellent crossing and a magnificent passing skill.

4. Abdul Wahab Adams (Aduana Stars): Wahab exhibited extra intelligence and good football to ensure Kotoko did not win the game at Baba Yara. He was strong on the ball. Policed Dauda Mohammed well and gave brilliant tackles. His hardwork earned him the MVP of the game.

5. Mohammed Alhassan (WAFA): The young center back was great in their 3-0 mauling of Hearts at home but was excellent against Dreams on Wednesday. Lanky as he is, his height gives him great advantage and was able to pull the breaks on the Dreams FC attackers. His ability to stop dangerous balls was explicit and his timing in 50-50 situations was marvelous. He won the MVP.

6. Kofi Yeboah (Wa All Stars): Kofi's intelligence in midfield yesterday was a major factor the Phobians had to coil all afternoon. He was smart, tough-tackling gave good passes and won all the drop balls in the middle. He scored the side’s only goal and also emerged the MVP of the game.

7. Tawphique Mohammed (New Edubiase): The young enterprising midfielder is gradually carrying the Yenko Nkoaa lads on his shoulders. He scored the winner at Techiman yesterday, taking his tally to three goals in his last four games. His sense of judgement was great in the game, initiated all the attacks for New Edubiase and was a huge source of worry to the home side.

8. Yao Abotsi (Bechem United): Yao emerged as a new player on the scene in the game as many did not know him. He demonstrated good skill in midfield and gave good passes. He made more tackles than anyone else and gave more passes too. He emerged the MVP of the game.

9. Bismark Idan ( New Edubiase): Arguably the best player in the game. Many argued he should have been voted the MVP after his thunderous strike opened the scoring for the visitors. Idan gave a lot of trouble to former team mate Iddrisu Yahaya and was the tormentor-in-chief for the Edubiase side.

10. Shafiwu Mumuni (AshGold): Another player who has been the brightest spot for his side AshGold is Shafiwu Mumuni. He has scored in almost all their games in the second round. He has scored three in his last three matches; against Hearts in Accra, Dreams FC in Dawu and scored again yesterday against Liberty. His goal was brilliant and gave the home side cause to push harder.

11. Nicholas Gyan (Dwarfs): The captain of the Crabs is the engine of the team. He initiated all the attacks for Dwarfs, was too strong for Inter Allies' Enoch Adu, scored a goal and assisted another. He was supposed to have won the MVP.
