Accra, May 14, GNA - The Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) will from Monday, May 17, intensify their preparations towards the All Africa University Games, to be held in Bauchi, Nigeria.
The event, which is scheduled for May 22, has seen the preparations of the Ghanaian contingent on a low profile due to the semester examinations going on the various campuses of the universities.
However, with the examinations over, the entire contingent is expected to plunge into camping at the University of Ghana, Legon, to put in their final brushes before departure.
A contingent of 46 members is expected to leave Accra, on Thursday, May 20 for Bauchi, Nigeria.
Mr Tetteh Opae Chief Coach of the University of Ghana told GNA Sports that out of the number, 18 are footballers, 14 athletes, six table tennis players and eight officials will accompany the squad. Mr Tetteh Opae expressed the hope that the various teams will put up their best performances to win laurels for GUSA and the nation as well. 14 May 04
