Ga Mantse throws support behind PKO Homowo FightFest 2026

Ga Mantse, Tackie Teiko Tsuru II has assured organisers of his attendance at the upcoming PKO Homowo FightFest 2026 following a courtesy call by officials of PKO Group at the Ga Mantse Palace in Accra.

The delegation, led by Founder and Chairman of the PKO Group, Dr Edward Osei, officially presented an invitation to the Ga King ahead of the highly anticipated boxing event slated for August 22, 2026.

The visit formed part of efforts aimed at deepening collaboration between the PKO Group and the Ga State while promoting sports, culture and community development.



During the meeting, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II welcomed the delegation and expressed support for the initiative, describing sports as an important tool for youth empowerment and social transformation.

The Ga Mantse further pledged the support and participation of the palace for the event, stressing the importance of initiatives that positively impact young people and strengthen community ties.

Discussions between both parties also focused on youth empowerment, social impact and the role of sports in creating opportunities for the next generation.

PKO Homowo FightFest 2026 is expected to be one of the biggest boxing events on Ghana’s sporting calendar, bringing together elite fighters, entertainment and cultural celebration as part of activities marking the Homowo festivities.



The event is anticipated to attract boxing enthusiasts, dignitaries, corporate stakeholders and members of the Ga community.

With the endorsement and expected presence of the Ga Mantse, anticipation continues to build ahead of the August 22 showdown, as organizers intensify preparations for the event.

According to PKO Boxing Promotions, the event will not only showcase top boxing talent but also serve as a platform to inspire and empower young people through sports.
