Gaisah Finishes 3rd In China

Ignisious Gaisah finished the 3rd in the long jump at the Dunlop Shanghai Golden Grand Prix in China.

Mitchell Watt of Australia produced an effort of 8.44m to win, equaling his own world-leading mark and setting a meeting record. Su Xiongfeng of China leapt a personal best of 8.19m to claim second place and world champion Dwight Phillips was fourth place with 8.07m.

One of 14 meets in the Diamond League, the Dunlop Shanghai Golden Grand Prix is a very prestigious event to earn an invitation to compete in. According to IAAF Diamond League guidelines, only athletes ranked in the top 20 of their disciplines are invited to the event, including all Olympic champions, world champions, and world record holders.
