Veteran Ghanaian trainer JE Sarpong is demanding the immediate dismissal and repatriation of Aduana Stars coach Milisav Bogdanovic after he threatened to kill out-of-favour striker James Abban with a gun.

The 59-year-old, who hails from Montenegro, has been in the news for all the wrong reasons after he was accused by Abban of threatening to end his life with a gun following a confrontation on Tuesday.

The Montenegrin stopped Abban, who has been dropped from the first team to the reserves, from joining the team bus for their trip to All Stars in the First Capital Plus Premier League.

Abban protested and that enraged the 59-year-old who pulled out a pistol and threatened to pull the trigger but was restricted by others around.

The news has put massive pressure on the Dorman-based side to wield the disciplinary axe.

However, coach Sarpong, whose last job was at Aduana Stars, is demanding an immediate action to be taken against the former Bechem United trainer.

“I don’t know what is happening in this country. The coach pulls a gun on a player and yet we’re looking on aloof,” he fumed.

“He did the same when he was at Bechem United and we have kept quiet up till now.

“Are we waiting for him to kill someone before we take action? The shocking part of is that Aduana officials are defending him.

“I feel so sorry for this country and the way we behave sometimes. Especially the Coaches’ Association and the Ghana FA. What are they doing about the situation?

“I expect him to be dismissed and repatriated back to his country. They know the truth and yet will come out and deny.

“One day something tragic will happen and I guess we’re all waiting for that day.”

Milisav joined Aduana Stars on a one-year deal after walking out on fellow Ghana Premier League side Bechem United.

The UEFA Pro License coaching certificate holder has had stints in Libya, Tunisia and Ivory Coast.
