Former AC Milan goalkeeper Giovanni Galli says Kevin-Prince Boateng has failed to gatecrash his opportunity at the club as he nears the expiration of his short-term contract.
Boateng, 29, re-joined the Rossoneri in January this year after a tumultuous spell at Schalke 04.
The suspended Ghana international was handed a lifeline by the Italian giants to resurrect his career.
But the former Portsmouth man appears to have missed the chance after failing to impress the club.
Former goalkeeper Giovanni Galli has waded into the debate and says the midfielder failed to take his chance.
"Boateng arrived in January, he had the opportunity," he said
"In the game against Carpi he did not give that quid of quality it takes to play that role. "
Boateng will not be handed a permanent deal at the end of the season, according to widespread reports in the Italian media.
