Ghana forward Patrick Twumasi has expressed his excitement over the imminent return of football activities in Turkey.
The Turkish Super Lig and others have been on suspension since March due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Turkish Football Federation has asked all clubs to resume training ahead of the continuation of the season in June.
Twumasi trained with his teammates at Gazi?ehir Gaziantep for the first time after over a month break.
The Ghana international is elated of the development.
"We returned to training for the first time in more than a Month and it was a great feeling," he told to 442gh.com.
"It been a long time we trained together because of the virus, but for us to come back again and train makes me happy."
"At least we know football will be returning soon, you know we were doing some individual training at our various homes but that wasn’t enough."
"It is our wish that the virus will be out but there have been some measures put in place to ensure that we go by the health directives. So now we no long spend more time at training and even at training we still wash our hands and sanitize them frequently."
"We no long shake or hag or take selfish together at training any more. In a nut shell personally I am happy football is returning soon because it’s been a while."
The 26-year-old is currently the second top scorer for his side in the Turkish Super Lig with 5 goals and 5 assists in 23 appearances this campaign.
