Bechem United CEO, Nana Kwasi Darlington, has backed former FA Vice President, George Afriyie for the next Ghana Football Association top job.
Stating his reasons for this public show of support for the Liberty Professionals capo, he argued George has a welcoming nature and that alone ticks the box for him.
“For me, George Afriyie is the best man to be the next GFA President because he is the listening type”, says the Bechem United CEO on Kumasi based Ashh FM.
George Afriyie was sacked by former FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi for declaring his intention to contest him when the latter made a U turn on his decision not to contest in the 2019 GFA elections.
Anas Aremeyaw Anas on the 6th of June 2018, released a damming report on corrupt practices under the watch of Kwesi Nyantakyi, which consequently led to FIFA banning him for life on grounds of blatant breaches of the ethics of football.
