Ghana has accused Nigeria of using 'dirty tactics' ahead of their All-Africa Games qualifier on Saturday.

The Black Meteors have reported their claims of maltreatment to the match commissioner, Anjorin Moucharaf.

The Under-23 side complained about poor facilities in Benin City ahead of the first leg tie.

Ghana arrived on Thursday morning and checked in at the Isno Hotel, where the food is said to be inadequate.

The food served at the hotel for supper was far below the required amount for the 28-man contingent and some had to eat their rice without chicken.

"These are dirty tactics being used to frustrate us but they will count for nothing as we are focused," team manager Sabahn Quaye said.

"We had to go and buy food because what our hosts gave us was woefully inadequate and Mr. Moucharaf was informed of the treatment."

The team had to abandon an evening warm-up exercise because of the poor state of the training pitch.

“It’s like a school park and a dumping site with people also defecating there. We are all shocked and had to shake down at the hotel,” an exasperated player said on condition of anonymity.

The Meteors will train at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Stadium, venue for the cagey qualifier on Friday.

The winner of the two-legged tie will qualify for the All-Africa Games in Maputo, Mozambique in September this year.
