World Cup quarter-finalists Ghana are inching closer to securing the nationality switch of two players of Ghanaian heritage.

Norway-born Ghanaian goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey and Leeds United winger Lloyd Sam are being pursued by the 16th best football country in the world to augment their squad before and during the 2012-13 African Nations Cup.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper has secured a Ghanaian passport that could facilitate his nationality switch but more paper work is stalling the process.

The Ghana FA vice-president Fred Pappoe told Goal.com the FA is working on four players at the moment but the two are more probable to switch in no time.

“We’re closed to two – Adam Kwarasey and Lloyd Sam. But one or two others we are still trying to talk to them. With respect to Adams and Sam we’re still gathering the necessary paper work,” he said.

Both have featured at the junior level of their countries of residence.
