Ghana-England: Quotes

Sellas Tetteh, Ghana coach

We deserved the win, we played beautiful football and scored beautiful goals. It was football at its best. Although we didn't start well in either half, we showed we can recover - and that is the mark of a good team. It's wonderful to be part of a team such as this one. If we can keep this team together, the future for Ghana will be very bright indeed.

Brian Eastick, England coach

While 4-0 may have been a little bit harsh, we certainly deserved to be beaten. We were outplayed in every department: physically, technically and tactically - and I have absolutely no complaints about being beaten by a better side. We're not creating chances, so we have to address that, but first I need to rebuild these players over the next few days.

Andre Ayew, Ghana captain

It's the nicest goal I've ever scored while playing for Ghana - and I thank God for the opportunity. I hope moments like this continue personally, but more importantly collectively for the team.
