Ghana Football Association vice president George Afriyie has indicated that the body is not considering reports that the Black Stars coach Avram Grant could be seeking a contract elsewhere.
Reports emerged recently that the 60-year-old Israeli had been contacted for jobs in England, including a post at Swansea or Chelsea.
“We consider these reports as rumours and therefore there is no need to engage the coach in such a discussion,” Ghana FA Vice President George Afriyie told Sportscrusader.com.
“The coach’s contract spells how termination, if it’s to arise, is handled so there is no need for us to be worried.
“Avram Grant remains our coach and we have been in close contact with him.”
Grant, who led the Black Stars to claim silver at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, has spent one year out of his 28-month contract.
