Ghana Telecom Invitational Golf at Tema

Tema, Oct. 23, GNA-The Second Annual Ghana Telecom Invitational Golf Championship tees off at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday, October 28

Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the club, who announced this at Tema on Monday, said about 150 amateur and professional golfers are expected to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition.

He said the event, which has Handicap 18 as the entry requirements, would be played under the rules of the World's Golf governing body and the local rules of the Tema Country Golf Club. Mr Adablanu named some of the golfers who had registered for the competition as Kwabena Boakye, Amos Derby, Kofi Asempa, William Asiedu-Yeboah, Nana Antwi-Boasiako and Bright Adablanu, all of the club. The Professionals event, which is a 36-Hole Scratch Play, would begin from October 26 and ends on October 28. There will be prizes for both the Men and women events.
