Ghana Telecom holds fun games

Cape Coast, Oct 31, GNA - The combined Central and Western Regions soccer team emerged the soccer champions of the Fifth edition of the 2006 Ghana Telecom staff association fun games held at the Robert Mensah stadium in Cape Coast.

They beat their Northern Regions counterparts 4-3 on penalties to lift the gigantic cup donated by Telecom.

The Northern sector team whipped the combined Central and Western team 2-0 to lift the volley ball cup while the Greater Accra Region grabbed the tug-of- war cups in both the men and women's divisions. The made mince meat of the Western team with a straight 2-0 win in the men's division and also beat the Ashanti women's team with the same margin in the Women's Division. The Western sector team won the sack race which attracted a field of five competitors.

The Games which was attended by all the Regional Directors of Ghana Telecom was rounded off with a dance at Pedu.
