FRED BENSON AND PAUL VERHAEGH IN YOUNG ORANJE
Fred Benson (21 years) and Paul Verhaegh (22 years) have been added to the selection of Young Oranje.
Both players received an invitation on Friday from coach Foppe de Haan. Benson has so far scored six times for Vitesse this season. Two of it in the game against Willem II when he ensured that a 0-1 scoreline was turned into 2-1 victory.
With this invitation, the attacker, who has both a Ghanaian and Dutch passport, must choose, not yet definitively, one of the 2 Countries. Besides that, an international at junior level is not yet binding, and Young Oranje during this training period will play no International matches.
Among other things, because of the busy competition schedule of the clubs, the coach did not decide to play any matches; only training games. Eldridge Rojer (21 years) is on the standby-list of Young Oranje.
On 27 February, Benson and Verhaegh are expected to report to the Young Oranje and will complete a two-day training camp.
