Ghana To Play Nigeria

Ghana's Liberty Oldies will on Monday trek to Nigeria to play All Stars International, a team of former Nigerian internationals on October 1 in a match to commemorate the 42nd independence anniversary of Nigeria.

The match, which would be played at the main bowl of the National Stadium, Surulere in Lagos would be the return encounter of an earlier one played on Ghana's Independence Day.

The first leg played at the Dasoman Pitch of Liberty Professionals ended in a one all draw. Players expected to feature for the Liberty Oldies are Mohammed Polo (pictured), Alhaji Sly Tetteh of Liberty Professionals fame, Felix Mills, Ahmed Rockson, Kwasi Agyman, Emmanuel Botchway, George Lamptey and Kasum Mingle.

The Nigerians would parade old stars of the Super Eagles including Henry Nwonsu, Chibuzor Ehilegbu, Mathematical Segun Odegbami, Christain Chukwu, Austin Eguavon and Rashidi Yekini.

The Ghanaian team departs Accra on Monday by a Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) bus given to them free of charge by the transport union.
