Ghanaian midfielder Benjamin Asamoah scored the only goal as Doxa defeated Olympiakos Nicosia 1-0 in the relegation group of the Cypriot top flight league on Saturday.
Asamoah, who salvaged a draw for Doxa during their 2-2 encounter against Paphos in the Cypriot Cup on Wednesday, was a thorn in the flesh of the hosts in the early part of the game.
The Ghanaian enforcer netted on the 30th minute mark to hand his side a well deserved victory.
He lasted full throttle of the game likewise compatriot Francis Narh.
The goal was the 24-year-old's 5th goal in all competitions for Doxa in the ongoing campaign.
