Former Hearts of Oak Board Secretary and immediate past Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) boss, Ernest Thompson, is in trouble for engaging in alleged underhand dealings while in office.
Over the week news broke that SNNIT had spent $72 million over software which wasn’t working.
Due to that, the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has summoned at least 15 witnesses as part of ongoing investigations.
And the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central has stated that the former boss of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) Ernest Thompson will soon be hauled before court.
“People have been arguing with me when I speak but the evidence is enormous that I don’t know where to start from. I am emphatic based on the documents we have. If we don’t punish these people for their wrong doings, NPP officials will come and do same and Ghanaians will vote against us,” he said.
