Former Black Stars defender Emmanuel Armah Senegal has told Ghana Football Association officials that he is ever ready to impact his defensive talent for free if given the chance in the Black Stars.
Armah was a force to reckon with when it comes to the Black Stars ability to construct solid defensive barriers during the 90’s and has had sleepless nights whenever players in the team cause unpardonable blunders.
“Armah has told some Ghana FA officials he is willing to help the senior national team for free,” Armah quoted an official of the Ghana FA.
“He has already told the technical committee he is not disturbed about the poor finances of the GFA which may cause salaries to be delayed for several months.
“He said he is only driven to give something back to the country that made him and he believes he can impact what he has learnt working with age-group teams in Accra and its environs to make a difference with the country’s team.”
Armah was a strong pillar in his days in the Black Stars team when he paired excellently with Emmanuel Ampiah; Frimpong Manso, Joe Addo in central defense during coach Burkade Ziese, Otto Pfister, Peter Gavrilla Era.
Armah who started his career in Techiman played for Goldfields, Hearts of Oak, and Great Olympics went to Romania to continue his football career.
The legend has been craving for this opportunity since retirement from international football in 2005.
