Medeama to play Lions in a friendly

Medeama will play Heart of Lions in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday, the club announced on Tuesday.

The Mauve and Yellows will engage the Kpando-based side at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park respectively, all geared at forming a crack team ahead of the start of the new season.

Coach Prince Owusu expects a positive response from his troops after they lost 1 – 2 to Ashantigold in their last friendly game at the Essipong stadium on Sunday.

The former Tema Youth coach has been trimming the rough edges of the team ahead of the commencement of the new campaign.

Medeama are determined to return to the top of Ghana football after finishing at a disappointing 9th last season despite impressing on their debut campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup.
