Ghanaian midfielder Cofie Bekoe is on trials with South African PSL club Mamelodi Sundowns, DailySoccerGhana.com can exclusively reveal.
The former Lierse SK and Petrojet player joined the Sundowns camping in Nelspruit two weeks ago.
Though Bekoe cannot be registered by Sundowns because the club has exhausted its foreign quota for this season, the 26-year-old could still sign for the Brazilians and be loaned out.
It would be recalled that Sundowns took a similar step in a recent transfer situation involving Rashid Sumaila, when the club recalled the defender from his loan spell at Kotoko and had to loan him out to Kuwaiti club Al Qadsia because they couldn’t register the Ghanaian.
