Accra, Sept. 7, GNA - Ghana and two other West African countries will engage in a two day triangular Dwarfs Games in Cotonou, Benin, this weekend.

The triangular games will see Ghana, Benin and Nigeria participating in football, athletics and table tennis in search of honours.

Ghana's continent will be made up of 45 players and 15 officials and will be under the sponsorship of Friends of the Physically Challenged Foundation (FPCF).

The team is expected to leave Accra in the early hours of Friday, September 11 and return on Monday, September 14 after the triangular tournament.

Mr Daniel Arhin, Director of FPFC said the tournament will provide an opportunity for the team to have an international exposure ahead of other major international events.

He added that the triangular tournament will also pave the way for the establishment of Dwarf Games in West Africa. Mr Arhin said plans are in place to arrange more international competitions for the team in the sub-region as part of efforts to develop Dwarf Games.

Ghana's team will resume training on Thursday, September 10, at the El Wak Stadium in Accra to fine tune towards the two day event.
