A heroic performance from the Black Satellites ensured Ghana finished winners of the three-nation U-20 tournament after beating Egypt on Thursday.

Ten-man Black Satellites were 3-0 winners at the Accra Sports Stadium to finish tops ahead of Namibia and the Young Pharaohs.

Heart of Lions striker Benjamin Fadi scored the opener from a spot-kick after a Ghanaian player was fouled in the penalty box.

With a goal up, Wa All Stars midfielder, Seidu Salifu headed in the second goal to hand the Black Satellites a 2-0 lead before the break.

Despite the lead, Egypt refused to give up and pushed to pull a goal back after recess.

But they were undone by Patrick Twumasi, who nodded in a cross from the by-line in the second half for the third goal.

However Twumasi did not last the full game as the FK Spartak Jurmala attacker was red-carded.

Ghana finished the five-day tourney with 4 points while Namibia, who drew their two matches picked up 2 points with Egypt clinging onto a point.

The tournament in Accra was aimed at preparing the three countries for the start of the Africa Youth Championship qualifiers later this month.
